Christian Ingelevics
Christian Ingelevics started his musical journey at the age of 9 by playing a recorder solo to a packed house at Roy Thomson Hall and hasn’t looked back! His teenage years were spent playing percussion in the Niagara Youth Orchestra which included a 1 month tour of Europe, studying piano and music theory at the Ontario Conservatory of music as well as saxophone at St. Catharines Collegiate. While completing a Bachelor of Music degree at Humber College on drum set, he also studied with the renowned drummer Jim Blackley. After pursuing the freelance musician avenue in Toronto, he moved to Montréal to complete a Bachelor of Music Education at McGill University. In addition to Music Director of the West Island New Horizons Band, Christian is an elementary music teacher in the Lester B. Pearson School Board and plays drums in Voodoo Jazz.
